The media and Israel's struggle for survival: Truth vs. Invention...

Katie Couric's "listening tour" to "introduce her to the nation" (huh?) and to learn what the people want from their newscasts, has apparently led to the revelation that people don't want to be depressed by doom-and-gloom stories... they want "solution-oriented" discussions.
If you're doing the "news", how about just the facts... the un-biased truth?
People can deal with doom-and-gloom if it's the truth. Cover the depressing stories, just don't nuance them and cover some positive stories too... like the many great stories out of Iraq for example.
Maybe the source of much of the doom-and-gloom that people are so turned off by is in your own agenda-laden delivery.
I started this blog based on the idea that there is such a thing as right vs. wrong. That's not to say that I'm personally always (or even often) right, or that anyone's opinions are by default any more right than anyone else's.
It's the idea that there are truths in the world that need to be universally accepted as right or wrong by good people, religious and otherwise... that evil isn't something based on one's perspective, it just is.
Iran, Hezbollah and the rest of the Islamofascist movement want's to kill us. They aren't misunderstood, and can't be reasoned with. (Helen Thomas too!) They're simply wrong and evil.
They don't need more diplomacy and time to prepare to kill us. They need to be destroyed. Israel is not mistaken... or a "mistake".
